When we first began developing our handbag collection, we knew we wanted to do more than just create something beautiful—we wanted to make something meaningful. As a brand rooted in the spirit of the coast, finding materials that aligned with our values was just as important as the final design.

This exploration is part of a larger initiative led by Voysey Brands, who are working closely with local farmers and material innovators in Mexico to harness the potential of prickly pear cactus. This remarkable plant is being transformed into a beautiful, leather-like material—one that offers durability, luxury, and a much lower environmental impact than traditional animal leather.

The project in Mexico is spearheaded by Voysey Brands as part of their ongoing mission to support forward-thinking material innovation in fashion. Their investment in sustainable alternatives gives brands like ours the opportunity to create with intention while maintaining the craftsmanship and quality you expect from Fyn and Fia.
